Some photos for this weeks challenge

We went to Pikes Place Market the day we got back from the Alaskan Cruise. It was raining unfortunately so the lighting was really bad. And crowds on gosh was it bad. They were having a cheese festival and you couldn't walk for people bumping into you.
So we weren't there long but I did manage to shoot a few.
I would love CC. My settings were F1.7 ISO 100 shutter speed was all over the place as some of these were indoors and the others were outdoors etc...
I really enjoy shooting things with shallow Depth of Field. Some times the really shallow works sometimes it doesn't. Like the boiled shrimp it would have been nice to have it a little deeper. Oh well hind sight is 20 20 lol.
Hope you enjoy.

Photo for the week of 6/11

This is a pic that I took of my dd. We bought this dress for the cruise and I wanted to get a couple of pics of her before she out grew it.
I don't know the specs on this one. I will have to find the CD for it and get it off. But I did use 2 strobe flashes for the lighting. If I remember correctily it was like F-11 and SS of 1/125
Shot in Manual mode.
BTW you can check out my new site at http://BreezyCranfordPhotography.blogsome.com
It is still under construction but I am in the process of getting it all together. Hope you all enjoy :D

My Photo for the week of 6/4

Sorry I am behind guys. I have been busy trying to build another site and get my business off and going.

But any way this is the pic for this week. It is an Eagle that we saw on our Alaskan Cruise. We were actually just by Emerald Lake in the Yukon of BC. We rented a car in Skagway and drove up to Emerald Lake and then went back. That was the most beautiful Scenery we have ever seen. More pics to come shortly.
OK the specs are ISO 100, 200mm, F5.6 SS 1/800
Short in Manual Mode :D

Jan 8th

We celebrated Austins Birthday today and I will post the pics later. I had already downloaded the prior pics before celebrating. So again I will update this tomorrow. And sorry for the crazy posts we are on dhs schedule which is throwing us all off lol.

Happy Birthday Austin!!

Today was DS#1's birthday. He turned 9 today. Where the heck did time go? We didn't get to celebrate his actual Birthday today cause daddy is working. So we will celebrate tomorrow. He was too busy playing the xbox, so I experimented with DD since she is such a ham. Any way here are a few pics with her and the new background. Gotta play with my DOF again with my lights. I haven't gotten everything just right yet :( but with 300 and some odd pics to go I am sure I will get it lol. I know that I blew her shirt and arms, but I am determiced to get there lol. First one is I don't think this is right but ISO 100, 1/6th again, F 8, and 105mm. Same for the second except it is 120mm.

Jan 6th Photo

Thought this Sanddollar that we found in Cancun this year on Vacation would look really nice on the black. Since I was getting my lights out for the new background I figured this would be the perfect day to shoot it. ISO 100, 1/10th, F 16 and at 135mm. So what do you think?

Jan 5th Photo

This is a pic of my brand new background. It is called America. I really like it, it is a 10 X 20 and I hope to get lots of use out of it with my involvement with http://www.oplove.org/. Lighting isn't great but I wanted to go ahead and hang it up to get the creases out. This was shot at ISO 100, 1/6th, F 3.5 and 35mm.

Jan 4th Photo

The kids and I discussed the USA during our lessons today. After putting together this map I decided to play with the DOF again and focus on the state of TX. I think I like how it turned out. Here are the specifics ISO 800, 1/250th, F 1.7 and 50mm. No flash

Jan 3rd Photo

Here is a Pinecone again really hard to think of something to shoot. Been wet and cold here and just haven't felt like going out. So again playing with my lighting. Wound up having to shoot with my flash. Couldn't get it just right without opening my lens up pretty wide. At SS125 I would blow it but at 160 it was underexposed. So I did tweek it in photoshop. So this is what I got ISO 200, 1/60, F3.5 at 50mm.

Here is my photo for Jan. 2nd. Sorry I am behind. I had no clue what to photograph today. But I was experimenting with my lighting. The specs on this pic is ISO 100, 1/10th, F 16 and 80mm. This was shot with 2 studio lights on in the front and to the left the other in the back and to right.
